Capitol Hill has nearly 60 parks — and every one of them deserves to be safe, clean, and thriving. From Lincoln Park, managed by the National Park Service, to Eastern Market Park, managed by DC's Department of General Services, these green spaces belong to the people who live, work, and play here.
Right now, the NPS is sitting on a $2 billion maintenance backlog across Washington, DC. DC officials face a backlog of their own. Parks are falling behind — and that's not acceptable.
The ANC 6B Parks and Recreation Task Force, chaired by Commissioner Jerry Sroufe, is fighting to change that. But we need to know what you're seeing on the ground: broken equipment, lighting that doesn't work, safety concerns, or spaces that just need some love.
Rate your park. Flag the issues. Tell us what's wrong.
Every submission goes directly to the Task Force and gets elevated to the officials who can actually fix it. This is how neighbors make change happen.
